Wounds Malaysia
The 6th Global Wound Care Conference will be held in Malaysia from October 18-20, 2024 with the theme of 'Global wounds and the dial of healing'. This conference aims to promote timely and comprehensive wound management through a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach. It will also include celebrations for World Wound Care Day to recognise and appreciate the efforts of wound care professionals around the world.
Wounds Australia Conference
This year's Wounds Australia 2024 Conference has the theme of "Champions of Change: 30 Years of Action", and will gather more than 1,100 attendees in the Gold Coast in October 2024. STV - Fundamentals of lower limb care
There are currently approximately 75,000 people living with a leg ulcer each year with many more experiencing other lower limb conditions such as lymphoedema or foot ulceration. Many of these conditions can be avoided if signs are detected early and the right action taken.
This session will provide delegates with the fundamentals of lower limb and foot care.

The Wound Care and Management Event 2022
According to a recent research study, an estimated 3.8 million people in the UK have a wound that needs to be managed by the NHS. That figure represents 7% of the adult population and a 71% increase from 2012/2013. It costs the NHS significantly more to manage unhealed wounds (£5.6 billion per year) than to manage healed wounds (£2.7 billion per year), placing significant cost pressures which could be mitigated with earlier intervention.
