COVID-19 Update: A letter to our valued customers

Apr 28, 2020 | 2020 News Stories

“We have seen thousands of retired doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals returning to work as well as healthcare workers from various fields stepping forward to retrain in new roles to support the fight against coronavirus.

This incredible response, along with the bravery and professionalism of our amazing NHS workers, has been crucial in the country’s response to the virus.

Becky Walmsley

Business Unit Director Global Wound Care Business, Advanced Medical Solutions Ltd.

As COVID-19 continues to impact communities here in the UK and around the world, we wanted to share with you how Advanced Medical Solutions Ltd (AMS) is working to ensure we maintain the supply of our advanced wound care products while supporting our customers, healthcare workers and the wider community.

In our last letter, we shared with you how we have implemented changes to our manufacturing and delivery processes to protect our customers and colleagues, as well as how we are maintaining our supply chain ensuring that much-needed wound care dressings are kept in full supply. This new way of working will continue for the foreseeable future while we navigate our way through these challenging times.

We also shared how, with our ActivHeal® Academy, we can provide free access to multi-tiered wound care education to support clinicians and health care workers of all levels.

We don’t know with any certainty when this will be behind us, and while we fight COVID-19, there continues to be patients requiring wound management. Our efforts remain focussed on providing advanced wound care dressings and educational support to allow clinicians to deliver the best quality of care for their patients.

To assist, particularly those who may be retraining into new and unfamiliar roles which involve wound care, we have made two vital Simplified Guides available without the need to register. The online courses can be accessed instantly via the ActivHeal® Academy as well as being available to download in PDF format.
