The ActivHeal team recently attended Wounds UK 2018 to promote the launch of their new innovative silver spray called Silgen Ag.  Following the signing of an exclusive agreement with Genadyne, ActivHeal will launch this novel antimicrobial spray into the UK market to help support clinicians to manage  wounds that are at a risk of infection. David Hibbitt, ActivHeal Global Marketing Manager stated that “ this product addresses a number of clinical needs, including the challenges of  hard to dress wounds and patients that are non-concordant”.

Silgen Ag now forms part of the ActivHeal antimicrobial range which includes ActivHeal PHMB foam and ActivHeal Aquafiber Ag, all of which have a key part to play within the management of infected wounds or those at a risk of infection.

Antimicrobial stewardship is currently high on the agenda with increasing resistance to antibiotics; therefore it is important to have treatment options for wounds that are at risk of infection, with a clear understanding as to where each product should be used.
