ActivHeal® once again exhibited at the annual Wounds UK event at Harrogate International Conference Centre. To support their PHMB launch, two ‘Made Easy’ symposiums were organised to discuss ‘Managing and Preventing Infection’.
There were two KOL speakers: Valerie Edwards-Jones, Emeritus Professor of Medical Microbiology, Manchester Metropolitan University & Simon Barrett, Tissue Viability Specialist, East Riding of Yorkshire PCT.
The sessions discussed the microbiology of wounds, bugs that matter and highlighted overcoming problems of resistance and host cell damage. They also discussed the PHMB mode of action and it’s role for infected chronic wounds (or at risk of infection).The sessions also offered made easy practical recommendations and case studies.
